Materials in homes and buildings built or renovated before the early 1990s may contain asbestos. The only way to confirm it is testing by a qualified assessor — visual inspection alone isn’t reliable. The NSW Government’s asbestos.nsw.gov.au is a good starting point for what to look for around the home.
We can often give you a preliminary read from clear photos, but confirmation requires physical sampling and laboratory testing.
Class A licences cover the removal of friable asbestos (material that can be crumbled by hand) and any quantity of non-friable asbestos. Class B licences cover non-friable (bonded) asbestos removal above 10m². We hold both.
